a high number of distracted drivers using their phones. >> the wet weather is impacting holiday travel at airports. we just got off the phone with the airport and the duty manager said there is no significant delays right now but high winds are expected to delay arriving flights later this morning. yesterday some passengers saw delays of as much as two hours. more than a hundred flights were canceled. >> we are taking off and landing about 180-degrees different than how we normally do and that adds to the delay. >> if you need to head to the airport today give yourself extra time. two million people are expected to pass through sfo during this holiday travel season. >>> the san jose airport is expected to be packed with holiday travelers, the travel is up 3% compared to last year. there are no significant delays this morning to report at either of the san jose or oakland airport. >> the second stole woke me up around two and it's slipping into the south i noticed. >> and i think it woke up a lot of people. noisy. the wind. >> thunder. >> lightning, heavy rain at times. hard to es

there. have been several big downpours in the past few hours and mark joining us now to tell us what is happening now and what we can expect later today > >> the heaviest rain on live storm tracker 2. there is the live sweep showing you the current rainfall pattern and scatter around parts of the north bay. we will continue to show you this. just out toward san leandro. approaching san ramone, a few scattered rain showers, not to major for this part of the bay area. we will move the maps down closer to santa cruz, increasing rain closer to santa cruz and the south bay. you will seat yellows and reds flaring up. leafier rain, sunnyvale. all the areas, the yellows indicate the increase in the rainfall rates, also shifting the maps here, close in on fremont around stevenson boulevard and cherry street. especially the darker shades of green. they link up with heavier rain. with the downpours still a big part of the forecast for this morning, impact the roadways, we are out live in the field, we will have updates coming up. >> people in east palo alto continue to watch a levee that floo

at a brief break- in and around the area but most of us seeing scattered showers, off to the east bay, danville, we shift to the south just a little bit. san jose dry, morgan hill in and out a few scattered showers, in the city, san francisco getting wet along the coastline. for today we are breezy, cloudy conditions, soggy conditions, but we will start to see a bit of a break-in to the afternoon. advisories in place already in the third of storms coming our way. i will show you the timeline and bring you details coming up. >> it has been a wild week of weather. we are not done yet. want to give you a live look outside. interstate 80, rain water on the roadway. two hands onto wheel. we will see scattered showers throughout the bay area before the next powerful punch flows through. yesterday's heavy wind and rain cause power outages. >>> most of the bay area will be under a flash flood watch through the weekend, a break-in the weather has helped water levels drop on the street in the north bay. some areas did flood and we could see it happen again tomorrow. the river rose with in a f
